About the Challenge
First run in 2018 the Chestnut Ridge Body Transformation Challenge is a fun challenge that gives customisers the chance to transform a model horse body into something amazing.
Those who want to take part submit an entry form. On the deadline day 10 lucky people are chosen from all those who have entered and are given the opportunity to take part in the challenge.
Those ten people are each sent a body at random, they will then have exactly one month to transform the model into something new. This could be by repainting, resculpting or even adding mohair manes and tails! What you create is entirely up to you.
Once photographs of the completed pieces are submitted the public then votes on who their favourite is. The one with the most votes will be our 2019 winner and be awarded a beautiful rosette and trophy. Runners up will also get rosettes.
You then get to keep your completed model or sell or donate it to raise money for charity. The choice is yours. Some of our entries from last year can be seen in the UK show circuit!
If it sounds like something you want to do then check out the information below for your chance to take part.

How Does It Work?
Ten people will be given a chance to take the challenge (chosen at random from all those who enter). You will each receive a randomly allocated body quality model horse (see the image below).
You will then have until May 31st 2019 to transform your model.
Once complete send one image of your model to competitions@chestnutridge.co.uk
Fans of Chestnut Ridge on Facebook will then have one week to vote for their favourite.
There will be rosettes from 1st-10th place and a trophy for the champion.
You can then do what you like with your model but we recommend you sell it to raise money for charity, donate it to a raffle or give it to someone special. Of course you could also keep it!

This year we have decided to do models all in the same scale, but they are in varying different conditions and different quality of sculpts. All are by Schleich or CollectA.
